Tuition Exchange or Tuition Remission
What is the difference?
Tuition Exchange (TE) refers to the programs through which eligible University of Richmond dependents apply if they wish to attend another college or university. Guidelines for eligibility are outlined in the University of Richmond staff and faculty handbooks. Competition is rigorous for a limited number of slots. Eligible, unmarried dependents must be admitted through normal admission's procedures before they will be considered by a school for a TE scholarship. In addition, TE applications should be filed through the Business Office in the fall of one's senior year in high school. Please contact Mary Dillon, (804) 289-8150, if you need additional information.
Tuition Remission refers to the benefit offered to eligible faculty, staff, and dependents who attend the University of Richmond on a part-time or full-time basis. Guidelines for eligibility are outlined in the University of Richmond staff and faculty handbooks. Tuition remission forms are available from the Department of Human Resource Services and must be completed for each semester/session of attendance if attending full time or for each course if attending part time.
